As a student of English, Media Science and Political Science Victoria joined the drama group in 2006. She quickly found very precious friends among the cast and became intoxicated with the drug called theatre. After a year abroad Victoria was granted the opportunity to play a leading role in Terry Pratchett’s Wyrd Sisters: “Thankfully I got the chance to take over my absolute dream part: a witch! Some people who know me well might say that this must be a case of typecasting. :-D However, for me the possibility to show a totally different side of myself belongs to the major attractions of theatre; along with dressing-up, going totally nuts in front of hundreds of people and of course the fame and fortune.”

Although Victoria had already landed the witchy role of her dreams, she was then thrilled to be cast as Mrs Bennett in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. For last winter’s All in the Timing – apart from playing a monkey, which she enjoyed tremendously – Victoria gathered her first experience as a director when she staged the scene Philip Glass buys a Loaf of Bread. In summer an actual dream may come true for Victoria when she takes on the role of Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. “Puck is clever, hedonistic, mischievous and sexy; definitely one of my favourite Shakespeare characters. Besides who would not want to act in garters, stockings and a corsage.” *giggles* As you may guess, the next production will be far from Shakespeare 101.

This may be Victoria’s final performance with the Drama Group (and the climax of her theatrical career) since she has almost finished her studies and will soon be forced to find a real adult-job somewhere. She is very grateful for all the fun times with the group and all the friends that she made. It was the time of her life.
